Cheryl, an avid Washington Capitals Hockey fan, is an Instructional Technology Coach at Pennington School in Prince William County, Virginia, a Google Certified Teacher, Discovery Star Educator, Tech4Learning Innovated and NET*s Certified. Cheryl started as a classroom teacher having taught kindergarten, 2nd grade, 4th and 5th grade. Her instructional technology career has been going on fourteen years. Currently, Cheryl is with Saunders Middle School, where much of her time has been spent teaching 6th – 8th grade students computer skills including integration of their curriculum with various programs, from animation to multimedia presentations. As an ITC, Cheryl has presented on the National stage at the National Council for the Social Studies Conference, American School counselor Association Conference, ISTE, and the National Council for History Education, the Virginia Society for Technology in Education and Maryland Society for Educational Technology and served as a panelist for the Virginia Department of Education at the Virginia e-Learning Backpack Initiative Summer Institute at the Richmond. More recently, she traveled to Adelaide, Australia where she presented at the 26th Australian Computers in Education Conference . Her Undergraduate and Masters degrees from George Mason University and a teaching certificate for the state of Virginia.
