Even our youngest students can use the fabulous tools offered by Google! In this introductory-level session, come get an overview and see examples of Primary students using Google Docs, Forms, Draw, and the all-new Classroom! I’ll share tips and tricks for managing All-Things-Google with our littlest ones.

The Common Core asks that students use digital tools to generate content. In this session, we will explore ways that students can practice early keyboarding and revise authentic writing by creating Google Documents. Also, we'll discuss Google Forms for classroom votes, "Question of the Day", a CFU tool, and more!

We’ll look at Google Presentations to deliver content, and also explore ways to have students create individual or collaborative presentations. Also see how Google Spreadsheets can be used to gather and organize information as well as support elementary Common Core Math standards to have students generate custom graphs and charts using data they have collected themselves. Finally, we’ll look at Google Draw to add creativity!

This session is part 3 of 4 sessions held on day 1 of the summit to become an AppsEvents Certified Admin (ACA)

The two afternoon sessions are for those attendees wishing to become certified on the same day. It's also possible to miss the afternoon sessions and take the assesment in your own time so you can maximize the number of other sessions you can attend at the summit. In the sessions we prepare together and take the multiple choice test and practical Google Apps administration exersize. We keep it a fun and engaging learning experience but if you do not wish to become certified I recommend to pick other sessions.

Note this session is only for attendees who have completed the two Admin morning sessions

Join us on a quacktastic adventure as we dive into Google Apps, Google Classroom, Google Earth and more! Using the classic, Make Way for Ducklings, ducks will paddle their way throughout the year assisting students with Google Drive, Classroom, Google Earth, Geo-caching, globe-trotting and more! Our feathered friends will also star in their own Google Slide presentation, “Life is Ducky!”
This project will give students authentic methods to infuse learning with Google Apps and GPS activities.
Students will demonstrate creative thinking, construct knowledge, and develop innovative products and processes using Google Apps for Education. Some activities include:
• Create a business card for their duck
• Create a Slide Show
• Create a Google Tour
• Create a Google Site
• Use Google Sheets to track their activity
• Use Google Classroom to upload assignments

With a rubber duck assortment of resources relating to geocaching, and lesson plans and implementation of QR Codes will be included. It is my hope to help teachers create some academically rich Google adventures for their students.
